How do I access Customer Care online?

Log in to Customer Care in order to check your account status including expiry date, change your mailing address, add or change your email address, change your mail/email permissions, report a missed or damaged issue, temporarily suspend your service or cancel your subscription.

There are 3 ways to log in:

  • Enter the name and address as it appears on the magazine (addressing area) OR
  • Enter your email address and postal code (no spaces) OR
  • Enter your account number, which is found in the addressing area of your magazine. It's the 10 digit number located right after the letters HLO.

How do I set up access to my free digital editions?

Apple (iPad®/iPhone®)

  1. Download the HELLO! Canada APP from the APP Store
  2. On your iPad®/iPhone®
    • Open the APP
    • Click on the menu bar located at the top left of your screen (icon with 3 bars)
    • Select "Account"
    • Click on "Need an Account? Sign up"
    • Enter the requested information
      • Email address
      • Password
      • Your subscriber account number... your account number is located in the addressing area of your printed magazine (see below)

    • Go back to the HELLO! Canada APP to sign-in with your e-mail and password. (You will only need to do this the first time you access the APP.) Click on the menu icon then click on the "THE MAGAZINE" to access the current issues as well as the back issues.

Android Devices

  1. Download the HELLO! Canada APP through the Google Play Store™. (Go to the APPLICATIONS tab, not NEWSSTAND.)
  2. First time users will need to "create an account".
  3. Use your newly created Digital Account to sign in and access your digital edition. Reminder: your username is your email address.

Windows 8 Devices

  1. Go to the Windows Store and search for the HELLO! Canada APP.
  2. Tap on the APP, then tap on "install".
  3. Once it says completed, tap on the magazine icon. It will be either blank or any free editions will be displayed.
  4. Find the Settings icon, and tap "Sign In", then choose "Activate".
  5. Use your newly created Digital Account to sign in and access your digital edition. Reminder: your user name is your email address.

You need to be connected to the internet to download your issue(s). Your issue(s) is stored on your device for access anytime.

What if I am a Rogers Customer?

The Rogers Reader's Advantage (RRA) and FIDO magazine programs offer the guaranteed lowest prices to Rogers' customers on Rogers magazines charged monthly to their Rogers bill. There is no commitment and you can cancel at any time.

Note: Gift subscriptions are no longer offered through the RRA and Fido program. To subscribe to Chatelaine, Maclean's, Hello and/or Today's Parent, call RRA at 1-877-666-0096.

Account status provides details about your subscription account, such as your name and mailing address, email address, start and expiration issues, whether your payment has been received, and more. View your account.

You can quickly and easily change your email address online. This will ensure you won't miss any subscription notices or invoices via email as well as any digital and mobile issues if applicable.

Billing/Payments

You can safely and conveniently pay your bill online using your credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Cheques and money orders may be mailed to:

If you're a new subscriber, your bill will arrive approximately two weeks after we process your subscription order. Your prompt payment will ensure that your subscription continues without interruption.

Check your payment status online. If you have already paid your bill, keep in mind that occasionally bills and payments cross in the mail. Please allow up to two weeks for your payment to be processed and applied to your account.

If you purchased your subscription through one of our authorized agents, payment should be made as directed on their billing notices.

Renewals

Login to your account to renew your subscription now by clicking on the "Renew My Subscription" link in the menu. Your renewal order will be added to the end of your current subscription and your mailing label will reflect the new expiration date. If you are not eligible for renewal, the "Renew My Subscription" link will not show in the menu.

Renewal notices are sent by mail or email months in advance of your subscription expiration date. If you feel that you have missed renewal notices or have recently moved, be sure to change your address.

As we select magazine labels in advance, renewal instructions should be received at least 8 weeks prior to subscription expiration to assure your magazine will be delivered without an interruption in service.

Temporary and Snowbird delivery suspension/forwarding

You may temporarily stop your subscription online. If you wish to have your magazine forwarded to your new temporary address, please provide the new address as well as an effective start and end date here.

Mailing preferences/permissions

From time to time other organizations ask HELLO! Canada if they may send some subscribers information about products or services that might be of interest. If you prefer that we not provide your name and address (email and/or postal), please phone us at 1-866-849-0861, or e-mail us at service@hellomagazine.ca, or login to your account on hellomagazine.ca/service and send us your request online.

Email is the most cost effective and convenient way for us to notify you with important announcements related to your subscription. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription online, or write "cancel" on your invoice. Please disregard any bills you may receive after cancelling your subscription, and accept any issues already in the mail with our compliments.

In the case of a paid subscription, a refund will be issued for all the remaining copies that haven't been mailed at the time of the cancellation.

If you purchased your subscription via an agency, direct your refund request to the agent.

Magazine frequency & delivery

HELLO! Canada is published 53 times a year and is on sale at newsstands generally two weeks prior to the issue cover date. For example, the November issue goes on sale by mid-October.

For new subscriptions, the first magazine issue should arrive within 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of the order. If it has been longer than 6 weeks, please email us.

Premiums/Free gifts

Some subscription offers include a gift and payment of the subscription is required before the gift is mailed. In this case, the gift is usually mailed one to two weeks after payment is received. If you have already sent your payment, check your account to see if the payment has been received and credited to your account. If you would like to pay with your credit card, you can securely pay your bill online.

If your free gift does not require payment, please allow four to six weeks for delivery after receipt of your order.

If we are out of stock, we will send you a similar gift of equal or greater value or will send you a notice advising of the expected date of arrival.

Downloadable premiums are only offered to those subscribers who have paid in full. If your subscription order included a free dowloadable premium and you cannot retrieve it after we received your payment, please email us.

Gift cards

Holiday gift cards for new gifts are included with the order acknowledgment and mailed to donors between July 1 and March 31st. E-cards will be available soon.

Security

It is quick, easy and safe to place orders and conduct bill payment transactions online. HELLO! Canada uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology for all online transactions. SSL encrypts your personal information such as name, address and credit card number in an effort to prevent unauthorized access of this information during the transmission of your online order. You can confirm this by checking that the web address on the page that asks for your credit card information begins with "https:" instead of "http:" Other ways to tell whether a web site uses security software: Your browser displays the icon of a locked padlock or unbroken key at the bottom of the screen or status bar.

Continuous Service Programs

There are two continuous service programs. The first is autorenew credit card. Subscriptions are automatically renewed three months prior to expire and a notice is sent advising of the pending credit card charge one month before expire date.

The second program, the Continuous Service "bill me" Program, automatically renews your subscription and a notification/invoice is mailed one month prior to the expiry date. You can conveniently pay your bill online.

If you choose not to renew, simply write "do not autorenew" on your notice and return it to us. If you prefer to receive traditional renewal notices instead, you can cancel this option at any time.

Late or missed issues

Your first issue should arrive 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of your subscription order. HELLO! Canada is published weekly. If you do not receive your first issue, login to your account to verify that your name and address are correct before contacting us. Other factors that may cause a missed issue are:

  • A recent change of address
  • Your subscription has expired
  • Your payment has not been received
  • Postal delivery delays due to a holiday or your request for unscented issues

If none of the above applies, login to your account to report the missing issue online by clicking on the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu and we will send a replacement issue. If you are a non-subscribing donor, your subscription is expired, or your subscription is cancelled you are not eligible to report a missed issue and the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu will not show.

Damaged issues

If your issue frequently arrives damaged and your mailbox is sufficiently sized, check with the post office to determine why your magazine arrives in this condition. If this is an isolated event, login to your account to report a damaged issue online by clicking on the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu and we will send a replacement issue. If you are a non-subscribing donor, your subscription is expired, or your subscription is cancelled you are not eligible to report a damaged issue and the "Report Damaged/Missing Issue" link in the menu will not show.

Duplicate issues

If you are receiving duplicate copies, it is likely that you have two active accounts. Please locate the account number on each issue mailing label and contact us at 1-866-849-0861 or email us at service@hellomagazine.ca and provide both account numbers. We will combine both subscriptions into one and extend service accordingly to the preferred name and address. Your new expiration date will appear on your magazine mailing label.

Scent-free issues

You may request that your subscription issues are sent without any of the scent strips often used by fragrance advertisers. Login to your account to send your request online.

Personalized Ads

From time to time ads inside the magazine are personalized with the name that appears on the magazine mailing label. If you prefer not to receive personalized ads in your print magazine, please contact us at 1-866-849-0861.

Magazine delivery after subscription expires

We mail a few additional issues to our subscribers just in case they are late in renewing. If a renewal order is not received shortly after the subscription expiry date, the bonus copies will cease. If a renewal order is received, service will continue without interruption. If you do not intend to renew your subscription and you wish to terminate your service immediately, click here to send us an email.

Unable to access account

It is important that you enter your name and address exactly as they appear on your mailing label. Be sure you have not typed the letter "O" instead of the number "0" (zero) or the letter "L" instead of the number "1" (one).

International subscribers may have difficulty accessing their account this way due to the variety of formats that foreign addresses may be stored in our database. Refer to your magazine mailing label and use your account number (the ten-digit number located on the second line right after the letters HLO) to login. Your account number can also be found on all your renewal notices.

If you are still unable to locate your account, you can email us for assistance. We will verify your account number for future reference.

Cannot accept online payments

We may be unable to process your online payment if you subscribed through an agent, in which case the agent will handle your billing matters. Please submit your payment as instructed on the agency's invoice or contact the agent directly for more information.
